About us

Philanthropic Community Foundation

(PCF) is, an organization established in 2020 by a group of philanthropists and well-wishing Ugandans, with a mission to uplift and empower communities through philanthropy and is dedicated to fostering collaboration among charity organizations and promoting philanthropic activities.

The emergence of PCF coincided with an increase in pandemics in Uganda, highlighting the need for trusts, foundations, and other civil society organizations to work more closely together for the common good. The formation of PCF provided an opportunity to promote philanthropy more broadly and to strengthen grant-making institutions serving local communities

OUR VISION

Philanthropic Community Foundation (PCF) envisions a society founded on the principles of legitimate rights, equity, justice, honesty, and social sensitivity. Our mission is to foster an environment where all individuals are self-reliant and welfare is promoted through the spirit of philanthropy. We aim to empower and transform communities by organizing and sensitizing them, focusing on capacity building, empowerment, and social transformation.

OUR MISSION

We commit to identifying and working alongside economically and socially deprived individuals, as well as those who are physically and mentally challenged—beginning with children—to ensure they become educated, skilled, and aware. Our aim is to enable self-reliance and ensure a healthy, dignified, and sustainable quality of life. To achieve this, we act as a resource and collaborate with governmental and non-governmental agencies, while suitably intervening in policy formulation.

Food Security

Educational Support Programs:

Scholarships and educational resources are provided to underprivileged children, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities for personal growth.

Healthcare Initiatives:

Medical camps and health awareness campaigns are organized to address critical health issues in underserved communities, providing essential healthcare services and education.

Women Empowerment Projects:

Vocational training and financial support are offered to women entrepreneurs, helping them achieve economic independence and contribute to their communities.

Environmental Conservation

Tree planting campaigns and sustainable practices are promoted to protect the environment and foster a culture of conservation.

Disaster Relief Efforts

Resources and volunteers are mobilized to provide immediate assistance to communities affected by natural disasters, ensuring timely support and recovery.
