Driving Sustainable Change Through Strategic Investments

The Working Group on Impact Investing is dedicated to advancing the practice of impact investing as a powerful tool for addressing social, environmental, and economic challenges. By connecting investors, philanthropists, and development actors, this group seeks to catalyze capital toward initiatives that generate measurable, positive impact alongside financial returns. Our mission is to build a robust ecosystem for impact investing that drives sustainable development and inclusive growth across Uganda and East Africa.

 


Objectives

  1. Promote Awareness and Education
    Increase understanding of impact investing among stakeholders, including investors, philanthropists, and policymakers.

  2. Facilitate Collaboration
    Foster partnerships between investors, development organizations, and social enterprises to scale impactful initiatives.

  3. Develop Tools and Frameworks
    Create and share best practices, tools, and frameworks to guide effective impact investing strategies.

  4. Advocate for Supportive Policies
    Influence policies and regulations that encourage impact investing and reduce barriers to entry.

  5. Measure and Communicate Impact
    Establish standardized metrics and reporting frameworks to track and communicate the social and environmental impact of investments.

  6. Mobilize Capital
    Attract and channel capital toward high-impact projects and enterprises that address pressing societal challenges.
